Alexander Kaune (PhD) is an agrohydrologist with over ten years of experience in water and agriculture projects in the commercial, government and research/consultancy sector. He is experienced in developing projects for hydrological assessment, climate change impact, biomass growth evaluation, crop suitability and irrigation advice using ground data, numerical prediction tools and remote sensing.

Trained as an agricultural engineer and as a hydrologist, he is skilled in integrating large datasets, and using hydrological models and crop growth models to solve complex problems in water resources management. Alexander has worked as a researcher/consultant in international project with case studies around the world, including Angola, Iran, Georgia, Australia, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ethiopia and Spain.
