Dr. Arthur Lutz is een hydroloog en fysisch geograaf met een solide staat van dienst in onderzoek en advies op het gebied van waterbeheer en hydrologie. Hij heeft bijna 15 jaar ervaring en is technisch onderlegd in waterbeheer, hydrologie, modellering, GIS en remote sensing.

In een mix van toegepast onderzoek en adviesprojecten heeft hij bijgedragen aan en leiding gegeven aan talloze projecten over de hele wereld op het snijvlak van water-, voedsel- en energiezekerheid in een context van wereldwijde veranderingen. Hij heeft internationale werkervaring buiten de EU in meerdere landen in Azië, Latijns-Amerika en Afrika. Hij is bedreven in het uitvoeren van gegevensanalyses, modellering en scenarioanalyses en het geven van trainingen over deze onderwerpen. Hij is gepromoveerd in klimaatwetenschappen en hydrologie aan de Universiteit Utrecht (2016) en heeft zijn diensten verleend aan een breed scala aan klanten, waaronder ontwikkelingsbanken, wetenschappelijke en onderwijsorganisaties, internationale donoren, (inter)gouvernementele instanties en investeerders in waterkracht. Hij is een ervaren teamspeler die gewend is te werken in internationale interdisciplinaire teams, in rollen variërend van specialist tot teamleider. Hij is auteur van talrijke peer reviewed publicaties en technische rapporten, waaronder belangrijke publicaties in zijn vakgebied. Bij FutureWater is hij Chief Scientific Officer en Senior Hydrologist. Met zijn werk streeft hij ernaar bij te dragen aan een duurzame toekomst voor onze watervoorraden over de hele wereld.
