Tijmen Schults (MSc.) heeft een master Earth and Environment – Hydrology and Water Resources van Wageningen Universiteit en een BSc. in Land and Water Management van Hogeschool Van Hall Larenstein. Gedreven door bewondering voor de natuurlijke wereld en de toenemende antropogene en klimatologische druk op eindige natuurlijke hulpbronnen is hij gemotiveerd om te werken aan de milieu-uitdagingen van het heden en de toekomst.
Zijn interesse ligt in het combineren van digitale hulpmiddelen en technieken zoals GIS, remote sensing en hydrologische simulatiemodellen om geïntegreerde waterbeheerproblemen op te lossen. Tijmen heeft werkervaring opgedaan in Nederland, Kenia, Zuid-Afrika en Vietnam, waar hij veldwerk, modelstudies en remote sensing analyses heeft uitgevoerd met verschillende softwarepakketten en tools (SWAT, MODFLOW, SOBEK, Google Earth Engine). Hij is bedreven in het gebruik van Python, R en QGIS voor geospatiale, hydrologische en remote sensing doeleinden. Bij FutureWater is Tijmen hydroloog en doet hij onderzoek en advies voor projecten.
